Hi!

My name is Izzie, I am sixteen years old and still in full time education. Hense the weekend sessions.

I have wanted to start tutoring for a while now but due to my wonderfully hectic life, I haven't been able to.

That is all about to change! Here is why:

Throughout my childhood, I was an overachiever, never resting until something was perfect. This drained me physically and mentally until I couldn't cope anymore. I stopped trying, and fell behind in all of my classes when I was 14. This meant that at 15, I had to leave my school and spend time resting (9 year old me's WORST NIGHTMARE!). In April 2024, I spent 2 months volunteering in a primary school, helping those who struggled and those who excelled find a balance in their life. This re-enforced my motivation to find my own way of working. In June the same year, I joined full time education again in a different school with longer hours. I LOVE it. I also got a diagnosis of Autism. My new school was very accommodating to this and gave me supported study sessions to complete my homework.

Having a place that isn't my home to complete work is bliss. I have finally found my balance and learned that nothing has to be perfectly presented and all correct simply for the benefit of the teachers.

I want to help young people to understand that mistakes are amazing and it's perfectly normal to take time to rest and be creative.
